After 5 months in Avian Flu lockdown with the last case in my state over a month ago, hot weather settled in, and some young cockerels starting to cause trouble, I decided to set up my electric net and give the birds their run back.

I let them out for a couple hours after dinner just to give them a taste and then opened up for the day this morning.

All the adults went right out, but the teens and babies have stayed in so far. I think they like having the space to hang out unmolested. :D

They look so happy! I've been letting mine out every now and then.

I figured that for safety it was all or nothing so, except for one determined Marans who flew past my shoulder to escape one day, they've been in the coop all this time.
I couldn't really do much other than not let them out and stop a very determined wren from building inside a cabinet in their coop. But we've been having problems with foxes and hawks as well so they haven't been out recently.
