Freestanding perch (roost)?

I need ideas on a free standing perch for my chicken run. My birds roost out of the house. Keep in mind the top perch at present is 8ft off the ground. I have to have at least 3 rungs.

I read perches can be hung on chains!

This also seems to help cut down on bordom!

got an old swing set to press into service?

4x4 post with some 2x3 screwed to it... like a telephone pole

If it has to be freestanding do a-frame like swing set more of a pyramid ffour sides of roosting area. Does it have to be 8 ft off ground? because to get that height you will need12+ft boards for framework you could do a feeding station type thing with framework on top of table and food water underneith.

But you already know from the other post that I already took care of it. No, this brainstorm turned out totally different from your suggestion. But thanks all, for the help!
