⠀ Freeze dried worms

how beneficial are the freeze dried meal wormßpackaged product? My husband seems to think our chickens NEED them in their daily diet...I say they are just a treat. They are quite costly as well. Do you know of a supplier who sells them by bulk?

In short, you're both right.
They are a treat and being a source of animal protein, they will contain essential amino acids that are missing in vegetable based diets for our omnivorous chickens.
I don't feed them but I do feed fish and meat when I can.
The big pet store companies and other online sources have them in bulk that will be much cheaper than buying a bag at the feed store.
