Very flavorful Styrofoam.
I used a metal spatula... I put some in mylar bags and some in a canning jar. I also threw a piece in a bowl with some water just to see what happens when it's rehydrated.just scrape it off with a plastic spatula and toss the powder into a jar to add to drinks or salads or cottage cheese. I love my silicone liners btw. @TJAnonymous
My tomatoes were pretty much killed off by the heat. I harvested several about a week ago which were really small...tangerine-sized. I went ahead and sliced them up and decided to just freeze dry them along with the red peppers.I have a counter full of tomatoes. I think that's next.
OK... I am NOT a fan of rehydrated watermelon. It has this slimy, weird rubbery consistency and you can't really cut it easily with a fork. Might be fine if you throw it in the blender for a smoothie but I ended up just giving it to the chickens.I used a metal spatula... I put some in mylar bags and some in a canning jar. Decided to do some tomatoes and red peppers next.
Never thought about adding it as powder to water... Definitely going to try that.I wouldn't have thought to re-hydrate it. I'd have eaten it dried or powdered it for a water additive or ice cubes or a salad sprinkle.
