Where we live is now quite cold, if eggs sit in the coop for 8 hours and the temp is well below freezing will the eggs freeze? are they safe to thaw and the use? must they be keep in the fridge or are they safe to leave on the counter(we don't normally keep them in the fridge)? Thanks

I have used cracked, previously frozen eggs on numerous occasions and I'm still around to tell the tale. I just make sure the nesting boxes are kept clean, the eggs are refrigerated, and the eggs are thoroughly cooked.

Good luck.

I had a frozen egg on the coop floor last week. The shell was cracked all over but the membrane was intact. After thawing and a careful washing it went into the pumpkin pie...we're all still here...the pie is a memory...
