Freezing Feed in Barn

This year I have my unopened bags of chicken feed in my unheated barn - it is getting well below freezing now - do you think that the feed will be ok when it is below freezing -
 
Oh good! Cuz I just remembered I left a bag in the trunk of my car. I'm sure it'll be below freezing out there.

Excellent storage choice in the winter.

But do remember in summer the heat will cook out some of the nutrients.
 
Freezing feed is actually a great way to keep it fresh.
I had thought about getting a freezer to store extra feed (it's been so hit and miss getting feed). But it's so humid here that once frozen I don't think it could be safely removed.
 
My feed bin is getting close to empty, so there is no worry that I'll forget the 40 weight in my trunk to help with traction is really for the chickens. :lau But a good reminder not to do that in the warm months. Thanks!

Humidity getting into the feed isn't that great...
