freezing hands

If you get your hands wet outside, in the snow, blot them in the snow
to remove the moisture.

Using cold water is much better than warm and NEVER use hot water.

I have Raynauds. Take a suggestion that my doctor gave me that has worked wonders. Get a pair of isotoner gloves. Must be isotoners, not a cheap imitation. Wear them alone or under work gloves. They put the slightest pressue on your fingers and hands. It makes a world of difference. I even wear them in the house when my hands are bothering me.

I agree with the others on the water. Cold.

100% wool mittens or gloves will stay warm even when wet. I knit myself a pair (I also have Reynaud's) on huge needles (10.5s I think) and kept washing them on hot until they shrank to fit my hands. They're maybe 1/4 inch thick now, and my hands have never been painfully cold in them, even when I'm standing around outside for 30 minutes waiting for the bus. Good luck!

Or you could cheat and put your hands in the horse's warm spots...
