Freezing Mallard- need help

Ok, this does not pretain to chickens very much, but I have a little mallard sub-breed and he has a very runny nose, and is cold out there at night. If it helps with the finding out the temp. I live in Harker Heights TX. I also have 2 Campbells out there and there just fine in the cold. Pato (the duck) has been raised w/ chickens and im considering putting him in there w/ them, they get along fine. I just dont want him to freeze out there. Any other suggestions will help.

Ducks seldom get sick. It is not a good sign when they do.

Sounds like he may have a sinus infection and may need some antibiotics.
Mallards don't usually mind the cold at all.

Pretty sure that the ducks will be fine outside with a shelter. Our ducks run with the chickens and are the ones seen outside of the barn in the run when it was raining the other day (the water wasn't freezing yet). They were making mud puddles just like little boys. Any way if the duck has a runny nose I think that is a sign that they could be sick. Do you have a big enough water to have them stick their bill in so that they can flush out their "nose". My ducks will have no heat this winter and we live in Mn.

He's in with the chickens and his nose isnt runny any more, and he is fine now, but i'll still give him a little meds. I think it was just from him throwing up and it getting in his nose, because some ducks use it as a deffense tecniqe(cant spell) when they're grabed, gag reflex.

And yes, he hase a deep plastic pond thats 200 gallons.
