I have a first time broody Bantam hen sitting on a few eggs that are due to hatch in a couple of days. The temperature is expected to be freezing during hatch and right after. Do you think the chicks will be OK? Or should I bring momma & eggs in
the house to hatch?
Pic of Curley just for fun.

I had a broody who would hatch out late November-mid December. The chicks did fine in the barn. I just made sure they had good protection from wind and snow/wetness. The actual temperature I worried about very little. I don't remember exactly what it was but I'd guess under 20° daytime temps.

It's was eye opening. After the first week they'd wander quite a bit away from the hen even in freezing temps.

Good luck with your hatch. She's adorable and looks to mean business.
