I am enjoying this breed, i have some extra roos that i have free ranging during day and spend some time watching the antics.

maybe because of their size, but they seem to have no fear and are adventurous, our cats went up to them when i first let them out, they just eyeballed each other and kept walking, no fear. other roos were about and there was no challenge or aggression, just an i am here attitude and everyone kept walking. first day out of coop they wandered much farther than other breeds i have let out. i do put up our roos at night as we are close to a forest. this will be our second year hatching and selling chicks , Lord willing, and we believe we will continue to keep this breed on our farm. The hens are sweet too. not as good of layers as our other breeds, but the hens are still young. Happy chicken raising to one and all.
