French cuckoo maran, Gender? Age?

I picked up these two on may 25th. First photo is the day I got them and I estimated the age of about 8-10 weeks? That was about 4 weeks ago which would estimate the age now at 12-14 weeks? Second photo is current (today) would you say, one cockerel and pullet, or 2 Roo, or 2 pullets?

I already have a game rooster to protect my small flock and was hoping to add a few more girls so he’d stop trying to lure the neighborhood chickens back to my house.

I’m new to Marans and have always wanted a few but it’s difficult to find info on this subset of breed.

Update!! It’s been a few weeks and they both have grown so much. Well, at least one of them did. The suspected Roo is DEFINITELY a Roo, crowing and all. But also, his legs are like tree trunks! His body is Double the size of the other one, which I am now 80/20 leaning towards pullet. She has dainty legs, non-domineering, light comb, and overall feminine. I’m guessing they’re about 16 weeks now. So hopefully in

about 2 months I will know 100%. The only thing that throws me, is the coloring & tail feathers are puzzling. She’s very light, and from what I’ve read the pullets of this breed are suppose to be darker. Also, her tail ends have a curl to them. Who knows, she/he could be an anomaly.

I would be shocked if either was a pullet. Are you sure they were as old as you think? Form your post you’re guessing they are as much as 16 weeks??? Where did you get them?

Here- this is a 3 yr old hatchery hen. She is a more typical of coloring but yours are a way way lot lighter. Her comb is a bit shriveled for obvious reasons but not too far from the norm.

Those are both cockerels. Like @Hensndoes stated and showed, females are a different pattern.
