I have posted for advice on the ABC forum, and am curious to see what they say. Short of that, I have thought the same thing you suggest, keeping show birds separate from the main flock. It just seems like it would make more sense to spend more time with them than the breeders

I did see a 4H video on hand taming chickens. I will post it if I run into it.

We do have grey squirrels, but I have not eaten any of them.
