French frogs

Flat chick! :gig

I get those once in a while, but they'll do it in the brooder!! Swear they're dead til you go 'Oh, no!' and they pop right up and look around like 'What?!?!'
:D
Or crawl up your sleeve... and make the cutest little trills and phffft noises...
:gig

Really, glad you're doing ok...
Sounds like what I do... except with me it's a dull butter knife I drop on my toes... :/

Hope your finger is ok...
Thanks and it is. Wife saw what the doc did to it. Says it looks like a thumb without a fingernail . Ive had close calls before but nothing like this. My thumb was at least 18 inches from the blade when it kicked back. One of those perfect storm kinda moments.

At least they were able to do something... better than cauterizing and done...

Worked in a summer program with a friend in middle school, made really nice wooden planter boxes... he made a mistake by putting a short leg through the router without using the push rod... pressed down too hard on the end and it flipped up and his thumb went right in... lost half of his and I was standing right next to him... awful stuff...

Question: when you're giving Nutra Drench to a newborn chick do you give it straight or diluted?

I put a few drops in their waterer... unless it's a weak chick needing a boost... then a drop or 2 straight, followed by a drop or 2 of water to wash it down...

My next door neighbor ran his thumb into the table saw blade lengthwise. Like you said, not a pretty sight. I have a whole lot of respect for my power tools. It's the hand tools I tend to underrate.
