French frogs

It was fun to shoot. Hit bulls eye at 40 feet, but that thing kicks. I don't think I'd put a lot of rounds through one, but it would be fun to try to hunt with one.
I was with my brother when he shot a small deer with his 44, it does make for a fun hunt.

Intriguing. Something to do with humidity being near lockdown time?
I just separated the flocks last week, so I wont sell any until I'm sure they are pure again. And someone from the Ship A Thon may want some first, so I haven't listed. Plus they are just starting to lay. I haven't even cracked one to check fertility. Yet.
I do need to add some girls though.
I think it was too much humidity during incubation or maybe the up and down humidity, or the up and down relative temp based on fluctuating humidity? I kept the humidity at %40 normally and %65 during lockdown.

Real chicken question for y'all.

I had a lavender Wyandotte pullet in the pen with my BCM roo for quite a while. I put it in with my SLW two weeks ago. I know that hens retain sperm for up to four weeks, but I'm wondering if I can start incubating them two weeks after I put her in with the SLW since the chicks should have feathered legs and I will know who the baby daddy is right?

BCM feathered legs in the Bev Davis line should be dominant correct? If he is the dad they chicks should have some sort of feathered legs?

Rayvn! Walnut! A little help here?

I have learned that Pti-1 is dominant and that Pti-1 is supposedly the feathered leg gene in Marans. What I'm not sure of is if you can get a zero doeses of the gene from a parent with 1 dose of Pti-1 and a parent with zero Pti-1.

Yes, if the feathering is fairly heavy... if it's skimpy, then it's hit or miss... plus the 2 different comb types should show a really wonky comb...

Btw, are you giving vitamin supplements to your flocks now that you're hatching? Vitamins started a couple weeks to a month before starting egg collection for hatching helps with more vigorous embryos and chicks...
