They look mighty cute to me.! Bet they loved it! It's so funny when they find their first bug! Some are scared and squeal and are freakin hilarious!

They are growing so fast! I'll keep the girls as layers and the boys until they start to crow. It's fun seeing how similar and how different they are feathering out.

Probably won't make more though, but who knows.

what did you cross to get them? it is pretty interesting on the mohawks......

Aww, Ravyn their such cute babies!!
I gained a blue wheaten pullet! So I have 2 out of the 7!!

I saw that... sorry... it happens though... I hatched all drakes in my first Call duck hatch and talked to someone who hatched 50 chicks and got 3 pullets... 50/50 is average but based on very large numbers, so small batches can be skewed either way...

These will be VERY helpful for me next week!  Thank you!

Has anyone ever experienced a "left handed chick"?  One that is pointed the right direction, but with the left wing over the eye and rotates backwards?  One of my EEs just did this...first one out.

I'll get some more pics for you too... are you gonna be able to separate them for hatching at all?

Sorry, you're having a bad phumb day, Oz!  :hugs     How was the game last night?

:love     And so begins my scheming to somehow convince Mark that having chickens would be a good idea.  :D

We won so it was good! Go ahead with chickens cause I'm succumbing to the duck photos. :) Thumbs actually doing good. I guess the nerves are rebuilding which makes it really sensitive.
