French frogs

LOL Ravyn, that is so cute. Lady Grey is just "excuse me, you need to keep your hands out of here!"

Yep! That's exactly her attitude, lol... Crash will just sit there, but not LG... she actually pushes with her bill first, then small pinches... kinda like she is 'I'm supposed to eat your hand, but I don't want to hurt you...'

My OH won't even think of reaching in... :gig

What do ya'll think about this bird.....

As far as I know own it was an Australorp roo who covered a Dominique hen.....

Well I've tried to reply to those too sweet comments made by Ravyn and K 4 times now and on each occansion my phone dumped them :( y'all are too kind, and I'm glad I can make you proud. In that spirit, lemme tell you I have focused my efforts on my Bresse. I look forward to hatching nearly every egg I get from my hens. They may not have been extra tasty, but I have enjoyed playing with them. Yesterday I bought one of the fathers, and 18 more of their eggs so I can get a few more daughters of this generation to start with. I understand that the floppy combs are one of the hardest traits to breed out. So I opted for a slightly yellowed guy with a wonky, once stepped on foot, because genetically his comb is better. He's from my friend, so if he can't breed w his wonky foot, then we can work something else out. In the mean time :fl

Aside from that, we went to the zoo and saw our first live Mandarin ducks. Who can't :love this guy??

And here is the set... These are all mine to do as I see fit. There's(darkest eggs) Cuckoo Marans, (light Brown) white Bresse, (green on left) my EEs, and (green on right) Isbars. Btw; I hatched CM from this breeder from darker eggs, in November, so they're fixn to end their cycle and molt in summer.

Yokel, I think I read that with a solid colored too over a barred hen, the chicks should be sex links - so the barring only goes to the boys and the girls are solid.

Ravyn or Walnut will know for sure though. Pretty pullet.

I'm having inherent issues today.... Trying to post..... It's over 70 here..... I'm dying..... Seriously in not complaining but this is about my heat max....... Two other pips aren't progressing yet..... Cleaning bator out on Monday..... Starting another batch.....

I read about your EEs! Congrats on some nice layers. Be careful about getn attached to the boys. I think your next set, with the knowledge you've gained, is going to be a lot better. Plus you'll have eggs that haven't been frozen right?!

Forgot to include that two wks ago my bird count was 30... Now I'm at 42  how,d that happen? And my crested mix bred things are really turning out cute
