Oh, were grown men chasing after a funny shaped ball today?

Those little stinkers! After a 4 egg day, we weren't getting many eggs for about a week--1 or 2, sometimes none. I thought it was because of a food change, or because I changed the material in the nest boxes. Well, I got the pine shavings out, and guess what I found behind them?

19 altogether, counting the 2 broken ones. Scrubbed 'em up and hardboiled 'em.

Yes one of my birds has not given me an egg all winter. I know she has a nest somewhere, have not found it yet.
 
Gorgeous and warm today (too bad I got sneezed near about a week ago, so desperately wanted a nap when I had to stay up 'cause it was too nice to make the girls stay inside and I was the only adult home) so chicken pics by and of my oldest:
