SC has had his flock of Cuckoo Marans for awhile. In fact, His roo Silas is his favorite as far as personality I think. Were you talking about egg color or their cuckoo pattern?

Isn't she pretty? Think she'll lay dark eggs? (And yes, that is the neighbors dog in the background.)

If she's a BCM they lay the darkest of the Marans. I've heard that but I don't know for sure.

I don't know, she was sold as a two week old Australorp chick but then she got red feathers around her neck and feathered feet. I believe she is a BCM mix

So I have gotten a pm from 2 different user names a month apart that have asked me the exact same question, almost word for word? "What is the best way to kill a rooster? So many options" ?? This is why I was wondering, theres a chick that was sold as a BR but has white feet, I figured she was a cuckoo but she looks way lighter and her spots look more like a BR than cuckoo Heres one of the cuckoos

I dunno Barred Rocks well either... I'm really not a fan of barred birds, so never really looked into them beyond using them for sex links...
