Hey Phil! Game warden waS in the Nat'l Forest when we went to let him go. He said we were not "technically allowed" to relocate him but since he was eating our eggs he wouldn't say anything. ;) This one was about five feet.

Nice of him.... I'd love to have a snake..... Wife would kill me though
Me, too but my career path is going in reverse! I'm working harder than ever! :)

I'll tell you about reverse careers.... My bosses begged me to stay.... You know the last time I got a raise... 2004..... As a flat rate mechanic i made great money when the economy was good..... But there of my last pay checks were for about $250.... My weekly tool bill was $200.....$100 for gas...... A few weeks ago my boss was giving me a hard time... Wanted to know how that "fixed" income was treating me.... I didn't tell him I was so much better off.
Never mind the fact my body couldn't go on anymore.....

Not looking going to bred a mare and raise her one . party picture yesterday
I got one you can use, just the right size for that cutie too. She's a pretty girl. The wheel of chores... I'm really gonna have to try that at my house! Hi All.. You guys must all live where it's fairly warm with all those snakes. Never had a problem with them yet, but skunks, opossum, coons, weasels, and such, yes.. Oh, and GO GATORS!! LOL..

My mottled were the d'Uccle. I took a few days off, that's why I've been gone. Sold that whole flock, took out that small coop, then built a much larger coop and moved the BCM to that pen. Moved the juvie AMs to the grow out pen, moved the indoor brooder babies to the outdoor brooder, then moved the incubator babies to the indoor brooder. It was a full weekend...

Nice to see you SC....
Every year I have to catch at least one and relocate him to the Nat'l Forest. Always a black rat snake. Longest I ever caught was over 8ft.

I want one!!!!
GOT HIM!

Not me I only hate things with more legs (limbs) than me.....

:smack    Well, I don't know...maybe Oz has exceptionally tough hands.          :plbb

HeHAD a pretty tough thumb too...

So, while I'm still here (won't be in a few more minutes, then "not here" for about 8 hours, theoretically...) is there any reason that this is a bad idea?

If you can't tell, that's a twist tie (the heavier kind that's wrapped around electrical cords, not the bread bag kind) holding the hygrometer probe onto the thermometer in the Brinsea.

I'm still confused on what your up to.... She's not there???

New ducks or did they just find their quacks? What kind are they? Very cute.

At least a couple girls there....:)

*shutter* A little sweet tea is OK, like a glass every now and again, but I cannot drink much more then that. SIL makes sweet tea all the time, a little goes a long way, I like to feel refreshed after drinking tea not sugar highed

I hate tea.... My wife loves it... No sugar.... No lemon.

It's a southern thing we love it down here . The sugar buzz that is .  or come to think of it just about any buzz . A wedding with an open bar is my dream of heaven . Even better when the Two mothers of the groom are there and the father of the groom is there and he is my nephew and I get an invite and he is talking about going back to Jersey  with the mother of the Bride who happens to be his new DILs mother . and the other of the mother of the groom hates him and I find this all very funny and the open bar made it even funnier so I laughed through the whole weeding . drank to much danced to much and now my knee hurts to much . Did I leave anything out . Oh yeah don't know why the wedding was now the baby is already five years old  so I'm thinking there might be another one coming :idunno Don't matter round here we love kids and critters cept for rats  possoms coons and some two legged critters .well coons make good hats . so maybe we don't hate them sooooooo much . and with a lot of pepper they don't taste to bad . now did I leave anything out nope reckon not . now wrap up my knee put some chickens on for Ben and gather the eggs . :frow

You are priceless.... You make me laugh.... You make me smile.... Stay real friend.....

You can get Posole everywhere here, pretty traditional, and usually delicious.  The meal is not complete without a side of sopapillas and honey though!

I really got to visit New Mexico in

:drool         Have I mentioned lately how much I love the state you live in?

Me too.... What's not to love it even snows there?

Every year for the past... I'm not sure, but more than seven... years, I've been doing online scoring of standardized tests--usually math. I've earned the equivalent of over a month's salary of my regular job before, though usually it's a little less. One year, due to technical difficulties on their end, plus time zone differences, meant I barely paid to replace an old laptop... The job gets a bit tedious, because I'm looking at answers for the same question hundreds of times a day for up to weeks... Every year, I say that I'm not sure if I'll do it again, but every year the opportunity to get 11 months of pay instead of 10 is just too tempting. My check covers the mortgage, utilities, internet, and car insurance, while Mr. P's covers the variable stuff and savings (and ministry expenses), so that extra month's worth of money helps.

So I came home to six ducks again?
I called and called... But just six.... Where did the seventh duck go?
No idea.... Two perimeter walks... Nothing,?
Looking hi and low...... Took a flashlight looking under everything!?
Walked into the woods... But not took far the next house back there is quite literally 10 miles away..... I gave up..... Then I looked and there was seven again....:idunno..... Where is she going???
I thought maybe she has a nest? But these ducks aren't supposed to go broody......??
I've decided to get colored bands to put on their legs so I can keep track of who it is disappearing....

The next thing happened when I was cleaning ducklings cage.... One got Loose in the house... fast little stinker..... My Weiner dog. (Who adores ducks)..... And both cats(who could care less) were hanging around.... Well anyway... I was freaking trying to catch him.... All ended well.. But my heart was racing for a minute..... The duckling was amused it seemed...:th
