Hey Dan, I was going to sprout an avocado pit (just for the girls to watch) but I forgot about it for a couple weeks and it is all dried out and hard. Will it still sprout? Or does it need to be fresh.

DH let them out this morning before he went to do chores, he hasn't been in to say if she was there or not. I ran out to see if I could see her, I haven't yet. But it is cold and damp out and I did not really do a thorough search

What was that phrase we hollered when we couldn't find someone during hide & seek? Yell that out the window so she knows she won. Hopes she shows up.

Me too. I guess I am not super worried yet because the big dog has been here all week (FIL hit him with his pickup again and the dog is mad at him ) It would have had to be a snatch and go (haybales), and I have not found any feathers.
If she does not turn up soon, I will start to worry. DH thinks she is laying on eggs (of course because I do not have a rooster) I have not been able to find her nest for weeks.

Ouch! I'd be mad at FIL, too, if I were the big dog. It's amazing how sneaky they can be when it comes to trying to be a mama.
