It's supposed to be nice again tomorrow. This phone has a good camera, and a good secondary wide-angle camera. If I don't take pics of the ocean tomorrow, relabel one of Bert's pencils ;)

They are 3 weeks, very small. I know, and 18 months is way to long, my plan is to keep one for a rooster and process the rest as needed (even if not fully grown.) I went with JG mostly because they were one of the more recommended breeds for rooster. Also I am very curious about the taste. I figure I will cook them like Grandma taught me, brine, flour, cook for a couple hours low heat, and see what my family thinks.

Just be aware that if you keep the roo to breed with regular sized hens, the hens are at greater risk of injury from a big boy.

I will keep an eye on it, but most of my hens are qualified as dual purpose, though they are hatchery stock so small. And so far the JG is very comparable to the layers. I am waiting to see what full grown looks like.

Sorry, AmyP...

You hurt your back?

Are your ducks broody ? And I thought Anconas were chickens?

Wasn't me but mine has been hurting for weeks .

Along with my knees heating pad doesn't help neither . just have to tough it out . So Howdy Do every body . made it through the dinner and the play. Dinner wasn't so great Rumors was the play . At a place called Chaffins Barn old Diary barn converted into a theater . Tourist trap I reckon . Like all plays it was good and bad . Didn't cost me anything so it was all good . Dinner was a buffet the salad thank god was good . roast beef and assorted veggies all from cans . But I didn't have to cook so was all right with me .I enjoyed meeting some of the people DW works with .So all and all not to bad of a evening out .And yes I behaved and only had two drinks .would have had more but they closed the bar when the play started

. and instead of telling them I was ditch digger. Told them I was trophy husband . I don't think DW heard that

. so after cutting grass all afternoon tilling the small garden pulling weeds .I now have to cook again Ben says so . thought I file my report .
