Ravyn  !!!!!!!!!!! You and me both  had I known you were driving that I would have waited . I would have called a tow truck but would have been a 300 dollar  tow bill. I'm cheap  plus got  to spent a few hours with my son . And  the five hundred tags for the truck are due by the end of the month :/  . Might as well get my moneys worth

Better to get your moneys worth than shell out even more for a tow, lol...

Yep, drove the scary van... may have to again either this coming Sat or next too... :/

But if it goes, that sucker can stay there!

I just got back from fishing.... Was a good evening. Caught a bunch of Pike and Crappie. Although we didn't catch any walleye which is what we were targeting. But nothing beats a nice night of fishing to get your mind off of things

Well, startedd the "Give Frieda babies when she's been broody for less than half a week" experiment.

So far, so good!

What the...?! (Immediately after having 7 chicks shoved under her (3 hatchery BR, 3 hatchery RIR, and Fudge))

Hm, movement and peeping--this is familiar... (About a minute after the first pic)

Go 'way--I've got babies to protect! (After I'd left for 10 minutes.)

I'll go out soon after first light to check on them and move them to the pen.

That's awesome Amy!!!! Super cute! I've got 7 broodies with nothing to put under them!! They have a conspiracy theory against me right now!! They all walk around clucking like idiots!!

It's going to be a couple of months before I have more EE eggs. I only have the old Buff Am hen and the Light Brahma/Am rooster as adults along with a bunch of Red Sex Links that make relatively boring EEs but I have about 50 of my chicks growing out. The oldest are about 8 weeks and there will be a LOT following along. But since your hens won't wait, it might be best to satisfy them with some local farmer's market eggs.
