French Guineas

I decided today was the day to take the leap and let them free they are taking it like fish to water.

Looking good! They are fun to watch - they move like a school of fish, only on land of course. They're just a tight flock. Hope all is still going well. Things change up when they start to pair off for mating. I've had some of my males "lose their mojo" as they begin to pair off and not want to come into the coop at night. And females try to go off by themselves to look for a good nesting spot. I've had to move them in where it was safe and sometimes feed them separately for a few days. It was like they were crestfallen and couldn't show their face to the flock. Enjoy! It's nerve wracking at first and then you start to "trust" them more.
