How long do these live? I know they get a lot bigger than regular guineas so I was wondering if they just got real big real fast and then died off like meat chickens or if they have a normal life span.

French Guinea fowl apparently must be artificially inseminated.

They do grow a bit larger than the domestic Guineas by about 2 poiunds.

The French grow them for table food.

They seem to be a bit hardier than domestics and as far as I can tell live and play just like thier cousins.

As far as I know, the life cycle is similiar.

I've heard that about the AI as well, it's similar to the problems with the BB turkeys. But I know some people that have french guineas that do breed naturally, I guess they just aren't as big as they are supposed to be.

From now on I'm going to do research before I buy something.
