French Toe Feather Issues

My french golden cuckoo maran rooster has such bad foot luck. I was doing coop inspections and noticed his feet loojed off. His outside toe is feathered but the feathers have yet to come in right. Now the skin around his feathers is growing thicker and his feathers are having a hard time coming through. It almost looks like a pimple where an ingrown hair started the mess on a person. What can I do to help him?

One of the best things you can do is to upload a picture of the affected foot. It would make it considerably easier for the members here to help give you an idea of what's wrong, and how to potentially fix it. Best of luck to you and your feather footed friend.
