Our chicks hatched yesterday and I noticed today that this little one has a toe that's falling off. I didn't notice anything wrapped around it yesterday when I transferred her. What would be the cause of this and how can I help her? I put some iodine on it when I noticed because that's what I had on hand.

Maybe it got caught on something in the incubator or brooder? At this point I think just keeping it infection free is the main thing and making sure it heals appropriately.

Looks like she got caught into something, she pulled and pulled the tip of the toe off the bone (it's a degloving injury).
