I found a couple of eggs on the bottom of the hen house and since they weren't in the nesting boxes, gave them the "float" test. Well they floated and when they were opened exploded like rotten eggs. A couple of days later I found two more. This time I shook them and I could hear the insides move around. I tossed on on the ground and it exploded. From then on I search the hen house from head to toe every night. Well, last night I found another egg on the ground and though nothing sloshed when I shook it, it failed the float test. Can hens lay eggs that are rotten? Can hens lay eggs that slosh when shook?
Thanks for your help.
