Fresh eggs look hard boiled

Hi, I realise this is an old thread, we've just had this happen to us. These are 11 days old and straight out of the fridge. Nothing hot has been anywhere near them. It's winter here (Australia). I'm sorry I don't know how to add a photo. Looks like the example above, a ramekin with two soft boiled eggs.

Top egg

This has just happened to my husband and I. We have had about three to four eggs look the exact same way. They have not been cooked, they are gathered everyday and it is neither too hot( we have only had a couple of 80 degree days here and very few freezing temps.
I have seen frozen eggs before and these are not frozen. The whites look solid, just like the pic above! What is going on?
