Fresh from incubator. How do I help this chick?

Just hatched. Doesn’t really seem like poop. More like yolk sac attached. Not sure if I should soak it off or leave it.

I don’t have experience with this myself, so take my opinion with a grain of salt... If it’s not covering the vent, I’d just leave it to be safe. Monitor it closely and you can soak it off when the chick is a couple of days old.

I agree, if it doesn’t do either of those, definitely soak, it’s better for the animal and you have a lesser risk of hurting her. In the meantime monitor it closely

Bumping up because I have one similar but it’s also extremely cheapy so I think it’s uncomfortable. I did soak a bit off but still mucky.
