I juss hatched 2 chicks and I juss put them in the brooder and they keep fighting . Pecking each other's feet and wings . Why are they doing that ? They weren't doing that in the incubator .

Another question . One of the chicks yolk sack or something dried onto it's butt how do I get it off ?

Pictures of the setup? I believe that often picking on each other is due to stressors such as hunger, thirst, too cold or too warm, little space, etc. What’s the heating source? How warm is the brooder?

Pictures? It should just dry up and fall off with time.

When did you put them in the brooder? Like how long after hatch?
They should fluff up before moving them to the brooder.

It's all dry and hard

I need to get some sleep, but that doesn’t look normal to me.

Do they have food and water?
What’s the bedding in use?
Heating source and temperature of the brooder?

For my personal experience, an egg yolk sac should look like this: (sorry, perhaps a bit graphic for some people.)
This is the navel, and the sac should dry and fall off easily and pretty quickly. This chick had just hatched when I got the photo.

Is the chicks vent clogged? (That Sounds weird. What I mean is does it seem to have pasty butt?)

I’m sorry, I need to sleep but I hope another member can help you out.
Yes I believe it is clogged but it hasn't been able to eat or drink anything so I don't think it's pasty butt . It's been on there since it hatched this is while it was still in the incubator and yes there is food and water and I don't know the temp of the brooder it's juss a bin with shavings and a heat lamp .
