I can’t vote though @Kiki because, yes, that is your private message, or actually I think it is called email here. But, I concede that. However, the ongoing replies inside the PM or email or whatever is a “thread”. That is what holds it together hence “thread”. holds your clothes together. Posts, replies or whatever you want to call those make the thread within the PM or email or whatever. Once no more posts then the thread has ended.

I stopped reading this post at the word EMAIL....what in the Sam hill hell gives you the idea anyone calls it an email?

I admit that I call the conversations private messages which is wrong but calling them a thread is wronger.

I am telling you I read that somewhere on here and it struck me because I thought it was wrong, I’m not going to look for it. Or maybe it had been changed since then.

Anyway, we are still talking about 2 different things really. That envelope icon is not a thread. The ongoing replies within it are.
