Friend has fleas

One of the women at church, her coop is infested with fleas she doesnt want to use chemicals any ideals how to get rid of the fleas?

Unfortunately, chemicals are the only thing to get rid of fleas.

Friend of mine swears DE keeps fleas off her cats and dogs...but not sure it would work in a building.

Fleas do not live on avian blood tho, I don't think, only mammals.

Be sure to know what the pest is, to find the best way to eradicate.

I 've used D E and never any issues with bugs or illness, Altho it needs to be used before bedding and i sweep in all the cracks. A little mixed with their grain also worked for me. I guess some have has issues with it but i have not, Just moderation i guess.

Thanj you i let her know. I wasnt sure how she would get rid of them, my only thoughts were dust bathing would help, she lives in one of the few locations that has sand and sand fleas are a major problem.

we use salt. I moved into s house that had fleas when I was just out of college. When I asked around at church one of the old ladies told me sprinkle salt on the floors and other surfaces, leave it for a day, and then vacuum it up. I did it and I had no more flea issues.

I did not have pets then so they were just in the house. The little common black ones. I hope it works on sand fleas. Let us know.
