What kind of duck is friendly? I would like to know of one that is a kind of small too. Oh, and lays a pretty good amount of eggs. Roughly.

Pretty much any domestic duck can be friendly when raised properly. Call ducks are small, adorable, and very outgoing. But they only lay around 75 eggs a year. Khakis campbells are the best layers, laying around 300 eggs a year. But I also hear that they can be flighty at times. Runners are friendly, lay a good amount of eggs, have a unique look, and weigh an average of 3-5 pounds. Not to big. Popular too.

I love my muscovies. They are super friendly. but they are on the bigger side. And I don't think they are all to excellent in egglaying.

Rouens are awesome layers and can be really friendly. Ours was the sweetest duck we've had before we traded her for 5 ducklings which turned out to be a bunch of spoiled brats lol
