Midnight continued to sleep. For once, her dreams weren't filled with fear and nightmares. Just peacefulness.

As Fang woke up, he noticed that Midnight was gone. He went out, alone and tracked her trail into loner territory. He kept walking and found blood from giving birth and he found a trail going into Water Pack territory. I will go there tomorrow. He vowed.

Midnight felt her fur begin to bristle. Fang was the last wolf she wanted to see and remembered what her daughter said and thought, I don't see what truth I'm supposed to tell Fang. I've never hidden anything from him...but the pups."
