Friends are offing themselves...need prayers, please.

Ok, without going into it too deeply, I have lost 3 friends from my college years in the last 2 years to suicide. Less than 4 days after the loss of the last one, my friend Kurt drank himself into a stupor and drove into something at high speed, and is in ICU. He needs your prayers.

I don't know why the 40's are so ugly for men, but call a friend if you feel this coming on- please.

I appreciate any prayers you put out.

Father God, ALL sufficient, i thank You for CC knowing to turn to You. i ask that You honor Your word that when two or more are gathered in Your name that You are there also. i come in Your name and if others agree with me, please honor it, Abba Father.

Do not stop knocking on hearts and telling people that validation comes ONLY from you and not from anything else. that nothing is ever TOO much, that it is YOURS to bear and that we can give it to You.

Jesus, cover the families under the blood, forgive and Lord, keep them under the shadow of Your mighty wings as their hearts are so broken, as there will be anger, questions of why and how.

Holy Spirit pray for me when i don't understand or don't know how to pray for these people and their loved ones. Touch CC with Your fire and fill her up.

In Jesus most Holy name i ask believing that You are already doing a mighty thing and going before me Lord, amen.

CC....love to you tonight. God bless you and keep you, make His face to shine upon you and give you peace. i have had a similar week, though i have not shared until now. we have authority to pray for each other because of that.

hold fast. we have been promised that we will be held.

I went up and saw Kurt only from the hall, as there was a bustle going on and alarms sounding, etc.

Very disconcerting.

I'm praying hard for him and his family. He's lost a lot of family in the last couple of years, and he's so young- he hit the bottle harder than most people could survive.

He needs all the help he can get.


Miss_Jayne, I am so sorry to know you, too, have had a rough week- I'm praying for you and yours, too.

God watch over all of us- we need those loving arms more than ever!

prayers sent- lots of what seems like "extra" stress in the world these days with unemployment so high, our young folks overseas- more families than we think are directly effected by the war, heating and transportation costs have increased and in turn all living expenses have followed suit- lets support our friends, our neighbors, and others that need support, whether it be some free eggs, an ear to listen, skilled hands and strong back to help them repair something at less cost, or more if we can do it. Prayers and good thoughts to you and your friends and all backyard chicken members. Keystonepaul.

this post is a wake up call for all of us to pay attention to what others in our circles are saying. if you hear or read something that's just 'not right' don't blow it off as some meaningless puff of steam.
a simple question like "what's on your mind" can make all the difference.
