My father had a saying he told me for years growing up, I never fully understod it until I was older.
" A friend in need is a friend indeed."
For the longest time I thought this made no sense, all my friends were in need, they wanted this, they wanted that, it wasnt till I was older and on my own did I understand what he meant. When YOU are down and out and in "need" those who are still there are your friends. Those who are only around for the good times, well , they just arent true friends.
