Frizzle,...any breed, pure or mixed.

I got my first frizzles this year. One is a black polish my 3 year old grand daughter calls Flower (the top of its head looks like a flower). Two are white bantum cochen 1 is roo, the other is too young to tell, but leaning to roo. Everyone who sees these calls them puff balls. They are so cute. So to get more frizzles breed frizzle to straight? Gotta plan my combos!

Can frizzles fly?

They are pretty and I would like some, but my coop fence is 4'. Can the fly up/over that? The top of the fence has a ledge.

My chicks are/will be free range, they must be able to fly up/over the 4' coop fence.

No, frizzles cant fly. The feathers prevent them from it, in pretty much any breed. And if they do fly they cant do it well enough to make it 4 ft off the ground. They shouldnt anyways.

lol casey! I'm glad my birds can't fly! They'd get in the backyard and get gulped up by the dogs!

I have one other up the rode at my grandma's house, but I couldn't get a picture of him. He is a black frizzle cochin, VERY pretty!

I love the two whites and the red, but the black hen looks ugly and frazzled to me...

She is so cute when she cuddles up to the others!

I'm excited because my mom is picking up some frizzle chicks from the hatchery today for me!!! I finally am starting my own flock! It's the first generation.

Very pretty, make sure you get pics of the Black male for us! And your right, that Black hen is a frazzle. Very well feathered one at that!

I have frizzled bantam cochins, LOTS of frizzled bantam cochins. Most will be going to the swap in Charlotte, MI this Saturday. I am cutting down to 2 pens of cochins. I am going to work on my blues and red/blacks. Of all the chickens I have worked with the frizzles are the most interesting and friendly. I think everyone should have at least one. Now I hope the turken breeders don't feel the same way about their NNs.

YEAH!!! My frizzles that are young just sit in thier cage while I water them! Frizz lets anyone pet her, but the black one isn't very friendly because I have her on free range because of her uglyness. lol My friend named her Turkin.

Yes I like most of my animals to be white unless they have an electric blue color or something. It is so pretty.
