Tiki, I cant afford shipping for a bird right now. I would be more than willing to pay $25-$50 for a good hen but finacially I cant afford to. The only reason I have birds right now is because they were a B-Day gift from my grandparents. Good luck with those chicks!
We have a white curly cochin bantam pullet. We got her in an order from Duane Urch for our sale and she had a bald spot so we kept her. Well she is a curly, she is about 6 weeks old and only has her wing feathers, her down was brittle and fell off so she is naked with white wing feathers. I think I might breed her to my white wyandotte and keep females, then just keep the best and breed back to the wyandottes to get frizzled wyandotte bantams.
Just to double check, curly x smooth=100% frizzle, right?

I am glad you got birds. Yeah money is the reason I dont have any of the white cochins,,,,If I had some I would have sent you eggs. I am hoping my "blue" cochins end up being pullets.
here is my new "sizzle" a birchen cock, age unknown, just got him for free two days ago. I put him in the cochin contest too... sorry, couldn't help myelf. I just think he is gorgeous! Anyone that knows about birchen genetics, please PM me!
His feathers are thrashed. you can see his wing feathers just the shaft is left, His neck is plucked too. At first I thought he was N/N, but I could see little feather stubs coming in all over. His whole butt is plucked and he has some feathers missing on one leg too. He's a mess, but he's still cute! He will get much prettier next moult.
