Frizzle Chickens/Chicks

Hello y’all! I have been thinking about getting Frizzle chickens but I got to many chickens. I was wondering if y’all want to share pictures of them here if not you don’t have to. And if I can get any information on them.

I have one, an Ayam cemani pullet. I'm getting some blue Frizzle Cochins from Welp in hopes of a pair (bred to different birds obviously) this spring

Make sure if you get them, you don't breed frizzles together. It's a dominate gene and is called frazzling when you get a homozygous frizzle

And as I discovered looking at Blue frozzles, there is nothing like a well frizzled cochin

Frazzled get skin problems and their feathers are so brittle they break and tear the skin. It's just inhumane to produce frazzles

Do not ever breed a frizzled bird to another frizzled bird.

I think the chicks get bad feather problems, like shredding.

I think the chicks get bad feather problems, like shredding.

They actually become brittle and break off. Frazzled birds are nearly bald most if the time due to breakage. It's also hard on their skin because the feathers that do come in are so hard and brittle.
