Is Frannie really a Frankie? 12 weeks, still a small comb and no wattles, but the coloring and some pointy feathers are throwing me off. The mama hen, who is also a frizzle, has pointier feathers than my other hens too, so maybe it's a frizzle thing? Mom is cochin, dad is 3/4 silkie, 1/4 serama.

There's no comb or wattles visible but I feel like the coloration is male colors, cochins and silkies both are slow growers so it may take a little longer to be sure, but it doesn't scream boy :)

Ok thanks! If it's a Frankie, I won't be able to keep him because I already have his frizzle mama, so I'm really hoping it's a Frannie. This is the only chick that made it that my broody hen hatched back in April, so I'm a bit attached.

So this may sound Super random but do you have pictures of parents/grandparents? some colors aren't exactly sex linked but more 'sexual dimorphic' like a birchen hen is different looking than a birchen cock bird. There's a really handy chicken genetic calculator that I use that might be able to help if you know the parents/grandparents colors, the color of this baby reminds me of cockerel I've seen who are black with leakage kind of like this? https://images.app.goo.gl/J7Xi5K9sHAgygzN19 and if I remember correctly a pullet/hen with the same color may look different? (I could be wrong though!) :D
