BTW--Do you often get to see the sunrise at your ranch, what with being up late chatting chickens

LOL! When we named the ranch I saw the sunrise ALOT. Coming right through the bedroom window into my face, very brightly. So that's where it got it's name. Since then I've learned to move the bed, put up shades and hide, and sleep as late as the kids let me.

Totally a night owl here, I've been known to be in the barn well into the wee hours. And sometimes all nighters if the goat girls are dropping babies.
Thanks for the nice comments on the birdies! I don't prep them at all they just do their thing, and I just try to get them at their cleanest. They don't always cooperate though. Especially the white ones when they make it through the shavings to the red earth below that makes up the floor of the barn.
