i got home today and found my frizzle cochin in the water bucket up to her back. now she is a bantam and we have had to use buckets because the waterers have been freezing...... i never imagined one would fall in and not be able to get out.well i brought her in put her in a very warm bath and blow dryed her and placed her by a heater for about 2 hours. she could barely move when i found her but when my dh checked on her she was lively and laid a soft shelled egg!!!! we will keep her in tonight to get her body temp up but now you know if you soak a chicken it will lay soft eggs!!!! i was terrified when i found her but i think she's going to be ok. ps i fixed the bucket so this does not happen again.
