frizzle growing up

A few weeks ago I posted pics of this chick asking whether you thought we had a frizzle. Thanks for all your responses. Looks like you were correct--she appears to be a frizzle. She's a wild one--I hope she's a she!!

Beautiful bird - looks like a pullet to me. What did you use for a background in those photos? Nice photography.

how old is she/he? that will help a lot with gender.

Oh we hope it's a pullet. How can you tell? All my friends with chickens say you can't tell until they're about 5-6 months old and start to crow. She/he is 5 weeks old.

I just used a white paper backdrop for the shot.

Personally I think she is a he, but I may be wrong. Do you have any other chicks? If you do compare their combs, at about this age a pullet's comb would not have that much pink.

We have three others that are the same age and they all have combs that look like this.

are they from a hatchery? are they sexed?

It is still a little early to know for sure. I could be completly of course, I am no where near an expert. : ) Wait about 4 more weeks and post pics agian then it will be more likely to tell.
