Frizzle Polish and Barnyard Mixes... any help with the Polish gender?

That is very true @featherhead007 and they are all very much loved! The only problem is we already have a roo with just 3 hens at the moment - and he’s a bit too amorous in the evenings - leaving the girls bare backed - so I was hoping for some more ladies to even the score!

To be fair @JacinLarkwell Yogi had a fairly noticeable comb from the start... altho it has pinked up considerably coz it started yellow!

I wish they did... but I’m in the UK and we don’t really have feed stores!
But one of the other hens went broody so I bought some more eggs online... more polish (and potential frizzles)...

Have you tried saddling your girls? One of my old hens did much better once she had a saddle to protect her back

Yes we have tried saddles but somehow our contortionist hens get them off! I have got a couple more off eBay that I haven’t tried yet tho... and in pink this time!!

Yeah, I let a friend decide on a name for a chick we hatched and I felt that it wouldn't be nice to give that name to a male since we aren't keeping mixed male's this year so I had to wait til they were nnmold enough to sex to show them Bear

I don’t know if you are familiar with Yogi Bear (a cartoon character) but I thought Yogi looked like a bear as a chick, hence the name!
