I am definitely a newbie to this Frizzle frazzle Sizzle sazzle stuff LOL so I had these roos (1st & 2nd pic) in with my 1 all black (3rd pic) & 1 painted frizzle (no pic) I thought they were to young to lay etc...didn't know any different
. 2 wks in I found 2 green eggs. I threw them in the incubator... ended up with 7 more eggs in about 10 days. I put them all in the incubator just to see what colors they would throw etc.
**I had no idea not to breed Frizzle to Frizzle!!!** My 2 experienced GFs said NO! By that time,14 days in, they were fully formed & flopping around when candled- I can't just throw them out!
I put 5 of those eggs & 3 others (different breed) in lockdown Friday night, I tried not to look at the bator because I get too anxious. I checked on it tonight, 48 hrs later, & there is this little fuzzy guy (4th pic) all dried off, fluffy & perfect- just hanging out. No one was supposed to hatch until Mon or Tues! SURPRISE!! It seems healthy, I've been told it would die/not survive, its in a lot of pain
(?)... what is everyone anyone's opinion? I'm at a loss. BTW I have since given away 1 of the roo's & removed the other rooster from my black frizzle hens pen.
