Frizzles losing neck feathers. Why?

Hello. I have tried to find answers to this question on this forum and the internet, but no success. I have three frizzle girls, all hatched last June. Their dad is a pure Polish frizzle and moms are not frizzle so these hens are definitely not double-frizzle. Recently they have been losing all the feathers on their necks. Their dad looks quite scrappy now as well. There is no feather loss in any of my other chickens - it is limited to only the frizzles - so it seems like this would not be a mite issue. I am wondering if frizzles are more susceptible to feather loss than non-frizzles? Does this have something to do with the frizzle gene? Any input would be greatly appreciated!

The frizzels could be just multing as when chooks malt they loose the feathers on their neck and tail feathers area. They mult any time after winter but 2-3 before the next winter. All chooks mult at different times to.
