I have 12 hens and a rooster. They are Black and Gold Sexlinks. They were doing great just two weeks ago. They were averaging 10 to 11 eggs a day and then all of a sudden I get just 1 or two. We had a rough cold snap about three weeks ago but they were laying fine through that and afterwards too. Its been about a week and a half since we've had a good laying day. They are getting time outside plus all the laying pellets and water they want. I dont see feathers all over and they look happy and healthy. Any Ideas about what is going on would be appreciated.

Temps arent that bad. 50's and 60's during the day and high 30's and 40's at night. We live in South East Louisiana. Might try Layena though!

MEEE TOOO! I have 5 SL,1 BO, 1 dom. They were laying great until this week.I'm in the Fla. panhandle, weather's not bad.I don't get it.

Decrease in daylight hours plays a key factor. I had my 20 something crew laying like crazy then went down to 2 or 1 eggs a day...I put in a light from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. After about a week of the light, they were back to normal.
