In a few weeks I will be taking my chicks(50) from the indoor brooder out to the run and coop.... I really don't want to have to chase the chicks to get them back in to the coop each night.... Should I leave them in the coop for a few days before letting them out into the run area for the first time? I will be putting in roosting poles inside of the coop along with dusting box and feed. All water will remain outside the coop...thanks for your inputs...

Yes. They will get to know where home is after staying in the coop awhile. But they may still need urging for a bit to get the gist of it. You may need to feed them in there a bit each evening to encourage them to come in. Good luck jean
