From egg to chick!

Dolly Parton, Kithara (I really wish I knew more about breeds to know what he is mixed with), Lucky, and Isabella.

:( I wish Colonel had other kids before he died. ❤️

I've had a few birds that I would've really wished to have offspring. A silkie mix cockerel (that was silkied) named Napoleon, and a few ISA browns over the years. A mix breed hen I had years ago too. With the exception of the mix breed hen, the offspring from all the others would have a shorter, lower quality life than what I feel my birds deserve. Napoleon passed at a young age from what was probably a heart issue, the ISA browns from the common reproductive issues these birds face

How many toes does she have, does she have a beard, or a crest?
Umm. She has a poof type head. Let me see if I can get a pic of her closer. I only have the nesting box photo.

Found some! These are all Jean Gray photos ❤️

Dolly Parton!! And our male Nigerian Dwarf, Twix!

Don't mind the poop. The babies would rather roost ON the enclosure instead of on the roost bars IN it.

Also, the second pic, I believe that's the one who probably ate my Serama. I shoo them out of my yard constantly.

Are the cats getting into the enclosure or pulling the babies out?
Good to see Ms. DP!
