Pills? Can you explain, please? My brain is not awake.

Here's some coffee for you!

If they are eggbound popping a calcium pill 1 time per day until they lay the egg, and for 3 days after, or to get extra vitamins into them, or antibiotics. It is MUCH easier when you have a nice set of wattles to grab. With tiny wattles you basically have to get the best grip you can with you finger tips on their lower beak and hope you can hang on while they do their best to get away from you.

Don't be sorry! At first I didn't understand how you could give a pill to a chicken, but once I had to do it a few times it's "just another thing" you do

They are. I will have to get photos later. Yall can help me judge. I saw a video that says rooster tail feathers are very thin and see through compared to pullet tails. Theirs are thick and rounded in shape. Idk how true this video is but I wanna go tail feather judging now.

The smaller red baby. She must have RIR on her or something similar somewhere bc her brownish red is bright.

If you need to give a chicken a pill, you pull down on their wattles to open the beak, pop the pill in and they reflexively swallow.

An easy way to judge:
If it's your favorite = cockerel
If it's the friendliest = cockerel
If it's the prettiest = cockerel
If it is from a special egg = cockerel
If it let's you hold it = cockerel
If it is constantly cracking you up with silly antics = cockerel
